Gideon is traumatized and has nightmares all the time. The result is that the other Pho Dogs are afraid to spend too much time with him. Gideon is stuck in a bad dream and thinks the only way to make the world better again is to blow up all the bad dreams – only, Gideon is often unsure of what is dream and what is not. The other Pho Dogs are worried about Gideon, but don't know what to do.
